The device meets all safety requirements for commercial equipment, meaning: by setting the rotary knob to a slice thickness of '0', the blade is kept behind its guard. The slicer is secured against operation after the removal of the blade sharpener or the blade guard. The device can only be locked and removed when the blade is set to a slice thickness of '0'.
