In April 1963, the first two SA 3160 Alouette III helicopters of the Gendarmerie, numbers 1097 F-MJBE and 1098 F-MJBF, presented in this set, were recorded at the Lyon-Bron helicopter base. The aircraft, suitable for night vision flights due to its agility, was considered ideal for surveillance and rescue missions at that time.
