Product details
Includes glue, brush, primary colors. The development of the DC-6 began during World War II to meet the US Air Force's need for military long-range cargo aircraft. Immediately after the war, it was converted for civilian use and equipped with a pressurized cabin and the ability to carry 52 to 68 passengers. The first airline to receive the DC-6 in April 1947 was United Air Lines. A total of 286 DC-6B were built by 1958, before production was halted that same year. The Heller variant shown here is a DC-6B "What if" version, as it might have looked at Air France.
