Heller STARTER KIT C-121A constellation "MATS"
Product details
Includes glue, brush, primary colors. The Constellation project was initiated in 1939 on behalf of the company TWA. Under the military designation C-69, the prototype "Constel" flew for the first time on January 9, 1943. After World War II, 10 models of the Constellation C-121 were made available to the U.S. Air Force for operations of the Military Air Transport Service (MATS). The C-121 was a variant of the 749, where the seats could be removed for an emergency evacuation and replaced with stretchers. The C-121 actively participated in the Berlin Airlift, which began in May 1948. Cargo was transported from the USA to Europe and then flown to West Berlin in smaller aircraft.
