Product details
On May 2, 1961, the Pilatus PC-6A Turbo Porter flew for the first time with a Turbomeca Astazou engine producing 520 horsepower. It was further improved by the installation of a new turbo shaft engine, the 550 horsepower Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A, resulting in the PC-6B version. After nearly 600 aircraft were built over six decades, Pilatus ceased production in 2019, once again demonstrating that a machine with a simple, robust design can outlast many of its more demanding and advanced counterparts. Built model: Matthias Becker.
