Product details
In 1956, France and Great Britain simultaneously launched studies concerning a supersonic transport aircraft. On 29 November 1961, these two different studies became a single project consisting of the 4 main companies: Aérospatiale, BAC, Rolls-Royce and SNECMA. The first prototype left the Toulouse factory on 11 December 1967. Concorde had already broken the altitude record (21 000 m) and the speed record (Mach 2.2). On 21 January 1976, a new era in the history of commercial aviation began under the colours of Air France and British Airways.
