The Air France Airbus A380 fleet was equipped with GP7200 engines manufactured by Engine Alliance, generating a thrust of 311 kN. With this engine, the A380 achieved a speed of 900 km/h despite its impressive weight. The various aircraft components were built in thirteen production facilities across Europe, including one in Indonesia and another in India. The components were then transported to the Toulouse-Blagnac facility for final assembly. The first two aircraft were put into service at the end of 2009. The aircraft numbered "F-HPJA" was the first to feature the new "Air France" design, which would adorn the entire fleet in the future. Airbus Industries received a firm order for 24 A380s from Air France.
