Google has broken new ground with the Google TV Streamer (4K). The TV Streamer is the successor to the Chromecast. Instead of a dongle that you connect to your TV, this is an elegantly designed box on which you can use various apps. Think of popular apps such as YouTube, Spotify and even Apple TV+.
Thanks to Google TV running on the TV streamer, you can use your favourite apps with the TV streamer's remote control. This means your normal TV is in no way inferior to a modern smart TV.
With the Google TV software, Google has created a modern interface where you have all your films, live TV and apps in one overview. So instead of looking up and streaming everything on your phone, you do it directly on your TV.
Unlike the Google Chromecasts, which can only connect via WiFi, you can also use the Google TV Streamer (4K) via a wired connection. Thanks to the built-in Ethernet connection, you have a much more stable connection, which means you have far fewer problems with loading videos in between.
As the name suggests, the Google TV Streamer (4K) streams from 720p up to 4K resolution. So you can watch all your films and videos in the highest quality. In combination with the improved connectivity, this ensures a smooth experience.
With the Google TV Streamer (4K), you also become part of the Google ecosystem. Other Google smart home products work seamlessly with it. For example, the Google Nest doorbell, which allows you to see who is at the door on your TV from the comfort of your sofa.
Thanks to Google Home support, you can use the TV streamer not only with the supplied remote control, but also with your iOS or Android device.
