Goobay CAT 8.1 STP shielded RJ45 plug for field installation

The CAT-8.1 standard eliminates crosstalk on the receiver side that is inherently generated by an RJ45 connector. This allows an RJ45 connector with CAT 8 to achieve a higher transmission speed than with CAT 5 or CAT 6. The plug-in network connector is suitable for round cables in solid conductor AWG 22/1 - 26/1 and stranded conductor AWG 22/7 - 26/7 configurations. It enables quick, tool-free installation on network cables by simply compressing the connector housing. The CAT-8.1 connector supports Power over Ethernet (PoE++), 4PPoE, Ultra PoE according to IEEE802.3bt, as well as being backward compatible with 25GBase-T and 40GBase-T. It has a transmission distance of 24 m as a Permanent Link or 30 m as a Channel Link in the 8.1 standard Class I, with an operating frequency of up to 2 GHz. The RJ45 connector is suitable for terminating a CAT-8.1 installation cable to create a network cable of custom length. 3 μin gold-plated contacts and STP shielding ensure durability and optimal signal transmission. The RJ45 connector is TIA 568A/B color-coded.
