After around one minute, a conventional straightening iron reaches its average operating temperature of 120° Celsius and is ready for use. Now take a strand of hair that has previously been treated with heat protection and run the straightener evenly from the roots to the ends. Be careful not to start directly at the roots to avoid burning the scalp.
