For larger spaces, the VHA118.2SA is an exceptionally powerful and versatile subwoofer that sets a new standard for the relationship between sound pressure and size. Made from birch plywood, this bass reflex subwoofer features a single 18-inch woofer from B&C and utilizes laminar airflow for refined performance, while its 2,500-watt Class-D amplifier module offers a selection of six completely rewritten preset algorithms.

The design of the VHA118SA has produced a unique low-end module capable of generating extremely high sound pressure levels over extended periods. With the help of BEM simulations (Finite Element Method), FBT has optimized the loading volume of the woofer, while careful examination of the grille and protective mesh of the assembly has minimized acoustic impedance, resulting in a net improvement in performance compared to previous models. By adding the VHA118SA, the frequency response of the overall system is extended to 30 Hz, while the subwoofer can fully support grounded configurations thanks to specially integrated mounting elements.
