Fiber optic splice closures are flexible, heat-shrinkable elements that reduce in volume when exposed to heat. They are equipped with stainless steel rods that provide additional mechanical protection for the splice joint. Once the casing shrinks, the splice area is protected from mechanical damage. It also protects against moisture and all types of contamination.
