The Extralink Gigabit PoE Switch is a convenient power source switch that combines a small, high-efficiency 8-port 10/100/1000 Mbps switch with 7 PoE ports. It uses an external 18VDC to 57VDC power adapter. All 7 PoE Ethernet ports can provide 30W of power along with 10/100/1000M data transmission over standard Cat 5, 5e, or 6 cables.

The Extralink Gigabit PoE Switch allows for data and power to be transmitted over a single Ethernet twisted-pair cable to the attached devices. It is Power Source Equipment (PSE) and fully compatible with Powered Devices (PD) that comply with the passive PoE standard, enabling users to connect any PoE compliant device such as wireless access points, VoIP phones, IP cameras, printers, and network-attached storage to the PoE switch without requiring additional power.

This unit is designed with home and small business users in mind and offers a cost-effective solution for environments where AC power is not available or too costly to install.
