Meet the largest rodent in the world – we present the capybara, which can weigh between 35 and 65 kg. Capybaras have a friendly nature and are excellent swimmers. They can stay underwater for up to five minutes! Capybaras are naturally found in South America. The capybara is a herbivore and is called "Capybara" in the language of the Tupi tribe, meaning grass eater. This animal has large incisors that, like other rodents, grow throughout its life and need to be regularly trimmed.
The Eugy capybara has a stocky body structure with strong paws, just like a real rodent. This body shape is an adaptation to its aquatic lifestyle. This rodent is an excellent swimmer.
