El-Björn Vf12t

The El-Björn electric heaters VF12 and VF12T feature a dual overheat protection system. Cheaper electric heaters often only have a simple overheat protection. What does this mean in practice? When the room temperature reaches the °C value you set, the simply protected devices turn off. The residual heat in the device is not expelled. Since the residual heat rises from the heating elements, this can lead to the burning of the switching components and wiring in a short time. This drastically reduces the lifespan of the electric heater.

With the dual overheat protection of the El-Björn heaters VF12 and VF12T, the residual heat of the heating elements is measured by an additional sensor head and expelled by the automatically activated fan when necessary. This prevents premature burning of the heating elements and switching components.

If the VF12 or VF12T is removed from the power source immediately after operation, the fan motor cannot expel the residual heat, leading to overheating of the machine. Before the next switch-on, the reset button located next to the thermostat must be pressed with a needle or paperclip. A quiet clicking sound is audible. The heater is now ready for use again. This should not occur regularly, as the wiring can be damaged in the long term. Keep the electric heaters connected to the power supply for at least one hour after use. Especially with high heating performance, as is the case here, sufficient attention should be given to the cooling process. This significantly extends the lifespan of the electric heater.
