El-Björn VF 12

El-Björn electric fan heaters VF12 +VF12T have double overheating protection. Cheaper electric heaters often have only a single overheating protection. What does this mean? Specifically, when the room temperature reaches the °C value you set, the single-protected devices switch off. The residual heat in the device is not blown out. As the residual heat rises up the heating rods, this causes the switching elements and wiring to burn within a short time. This drastically reduces the life expectancy of the electric heater. Due to the double overheating protection of the El-Björn heaters VF 12+ VF 12T, the residual heat of the heating rods is measured by means of an additional sensor head and, if necessary, blown out by the automatically switched-on fan. This prevents the heating rods and switching elements from burning up prematurely. If the VF 12 or VF 12T is removed from the power source immediately after operation, the fan motor can no longer blow out the residual heat. The machine overheats. Before switching on again, use a pin or paper clip to press the reset button directly next to the thermostat. A soft clicking sound can be heard. The heating is now operational again. This should not happen regularly because the wiring will be damaged in the long run. Leave the electric heaters connected to the mains for at least 1 hour after use. Especially in the case of strong heating power, as is the case here, sufficient attention should be given to the cooling down process. This process significantly prolongs the life expectancy of the electric heater.
