Eico Thermobox

The Thermobox heat retention system consists of three pairs of flaps arranged in a defined distance from each other, equipped with magnetic closures. With a U-value of 2.2 W/(m²K), Thermobox significantly outperforms the typical wall boxes on the market (approximately 25 W/(m²K)) and achieves insulation performance comparable to that of double-glazed windows. In the closed system, two completely insulated air chambers are formed. A reflective layer on the inward-facing first pair of flaps reduces the transmission rate at the entrance of the system, thereby preventing additional heat loss. In contrast, standard wall boxes feature simple backflow flaps that, due to their lack of thermal insulation properties, are not suitable for installation in the wall facade of energy-efficient or energetically renovated house types.
