This is because the heat detector manufactured in the EU has a fast-responding temperature sensor that cannot be misled by dust or moisture. Instead, the temperature detector equipped with a 10-year battery reliably triggers an alarm from 58 degrees. If the temperature falls below the critical limit again, the alarm is automatically reset. The Ei630W therefore offers suitable protection for rooms with an increased amount of dust or moisture, such as kitchens, bathrooms or attics.
For optimised protection against fire hazards, heat alarms should be networked with smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms where possible (wireless networking possible). In this way, heat detectors can make the best possible contribution to increasing the safety of a residential unit.
