Product details
Fiber optic patch cables are defined components of an internationally standardized structured cabling system according to ISO/IEC 11801. In structured cabling, many different connectors have evolved historically, with the following still being relevant: LC, SC, E2000, MPO/MTP. A fiber optic patch cable represents the shortest connection between a passive cabling port and an active network port, or a point-to-point connection between two active network ports. Quality classes allow for a qualitative distinction of fiber optic patch cables depending on the network service. Equivalent terms for patch cables include: patch cord, adapter cable, connection cable, hybrid cable, jumper, and connection wire.
Features of EFB fiber optic patch cables:
- Strain relief reinforced with aramid yarn
- Halogen-free and flame-retardant jacket according to IEC 60754-2, IEC 60332-1, and IEC 61034
- EFB fiber optic connectors meet the minimum quality class Grade B/2 according to IEC 61753-1 for singlemode and Grade A/1 for multimode.
