The USB 3.0 NIC Network Adapter SuperSpeed to Gigabit Ethernet U336-000-GB-AL allows computers, laptops, and ultrabooks without a NIC (Network Interface Controller) to connect to a network or the internet. It offers a more convenient and cost-effective solution than opening your device and installing an internal Ethernet card.

Simply connect the USB plug of the adapter to your device's USB port and the RJ45 port of the adapter to a UTP cable, such as a Tripp Lite Cat6 cable from the N201 series. The USB 3.0 adapter supports full network speeds of 10/100/1000 Mbps, enabling fast transfer of large amounts of data as well as audio and video streaming. Plug and play with no software, drivers, or power supply required. Three status LEDs indicate when the adapter is powered, successfully connected to the network, and transferring data. The compact aluminum housing can easily fit in your bag, backpack, briefcase, or laptop bag, allowing you to achieve high Ethernet speeds wherever you are.

Complies with IEEE 802.3, 802.3u, 802.3ab, and 802.3az standards. Supports full duplex with flow control according to IEEE 802.3x as well as half duplex with back pressure flow control. Supports automatic detection of 10/100/1000 and Wake-on-LAN, as well as IPv4 and IPv6 Packet Checksum Offload Engine (COE) to reduce CPU load. Suspend mode and remote wakeup are supported via link change, magic packet, Microsoft wakeup frame, and external wakeup pin.
