Aufgrund der Möglichkeit alle drei Signale empfangen zu können, ist der Einsatz des Tuners sehr vielfältig. Doch damit nicht genug denn der Dream unterstützt nicht nur zahlreiche Multimediadaten, sondern kann auch mittels zahlreicher Plugins bequem erweitert werden. Zudem ist natürlich auch eine PVR Funktion mit an Bord, wobei der Preis aber auch stolz ist.

Die Dreambox zeichnet sich durch ihre große Funktionsvielfalt aus, die dabei noch mittels zahlreicher Plugins erweitert werden kann. Bild und Ton sind ebenso gut wie das vorbildliche Installationsmenü. Zudem kann das Gerät gleichzeitig ein Programm aufzeichnen während ein anderes betrachtet wird.
