Product details

The HP0D is an official outdoor LoRaWAN Helium HNT miner from Dragino. With the HP0D, you can connect a LoRa network to an IP network via WiFi or Ethernet. The LoRa network allows you to send data over long distances at low data rates. The HP0D has received Helium Full Hotspot approval and features an ATECC608 encryption chip. It can be used to mine the Helium cryptocurrency HNT (Helium Network Token), earning HNT when LoRa-enabled IoT devices connect and for validating the radio coverage provided by other participants' LoRaWAN gateways. With the "Proof-of-Coverage" system, Helium-compatible LoRaWAN gateways earn more HNT if they are within range of other Helium-compatible LoRa gateways, which must be at least 300 meters apart. Earnings are very location-dependent. If there is a high demand for data to be transmitted in an area, the operators of the Helium hotspots will receive significantly more HNT tokens than in areas where demand is lower. The onboarding and location costs are already paid for each HP0D. The gateway is ready to use for Helium; the user only needs to enter the HNT address and use the QR code to activate the HP0D.
