This antenna cable is designed to supply a 5 V power voltage for operating, for example, an active DVB-T/DVB-T2 antenna. This voltage is typically transmitted through the antenna cable. Some TV devices do not provide a 5 V power supply through the antenna input. In these cases, active antennas have previously been powered by a conventional plug power supply. The use of the Delock antenna cable with 5 V phantom power allows for direct power supply through a USB port of the TV device. The USB Type-A socket present on the cable, which carries signals and voltage, allows this USB connection to be used as well.
