Product details
The new SPE series power supplies from Sunpower already meet the requirements of the safety standard EN 62368-1 and are specifically designed for audio/video as well as information and communication technology applications. The IEC/EN 62368-1 standard consolidates the previous safety standards for IT applications (IEC/EN 60950-1) and for audio/video applications (IEC/EN 60065). This new standard addresses safety aspects for both IT and telecommunications applications as well as audio and video applications. With the SPE series, Sunpower expands its portfolio to meet the needs of the music, film, and advertising industries, as well as recording studios, music producers, and artists. Other areas of application include sound reinforcement for arenas, exhibition halls, and large events, electronic devices for content creation, and consumer electronics. With the approval according to the EN 62368-1 standard, which applies from December 20, 2020, developers can plan the SPE series power supplies for various applications with future-proofing in mind. The low profile of only 30 or 40.6 mm also makes them suitable for 1U racks.
Features of Sunpower power supplies at a glance: Through modern circuitry, the SPE series power supplies achieve a high efficiency of up to 90.5 percent and can be reliably used in ambient temperatures between -30 °C and +70 °C (power reduction from 45 °C/50 °C). The 150W and 200W models operate without a fan, ensuring particularly quiet and low-vibration operation. All available output voltages are adjustable within a range of ±10%. For international use, the switch-mode power supplies are equipped with a wide input range of 88 V to 264 V AC. Additionally, the power supplies also operate in the input range of 124 V to 375 V DC, which is important for video applications.
