As a larger bookshelf speaker, it is positioned between the more compact Zensor 1 and the smaller floor-standing model Zensor 5. The cabinet is large enough to reproduce powerful, controlled, and deep bass, yet compact enough to be easily placed on a shelf or stand.
These speakers are incredibly good. They immerse you in the musical experience and are so enjoyable that we found ourselves enthusiastically listening to entire CDs, almost forgetting that we were supposed to be testing a speaker. The Zensor 3 impresses with crystal-clear highs, coherent mids, and surprisingly deep bass for its cabinet size: it reaches low, is tight and rich, but never overdone. Additionally, the testers appreciated the natural character of the Zensor 3 and its addictive playfulness. For example, the DALIs presented the soundtrack of "Inception" in a remarkably lively and dynamic manner, without ever sounding strained. Their soundstage remained well-defined and detailed. The Zensor 3 is fun, sounds excellent, and has a good chance of becoming a great success.
