D Modun Gasmelder

The D MODUN gas detector is a highly specialised sensor designed to improve safety in a wide range of environments such as kitchens, mobile homes, garages and petrol stations. The device is designed to detect combustible gases such as LPG (liquefied petroleum gas consisting of propane and butane), natural gas (mainly methane) and coal gas (a mixture of alkanes, olefins and arenes) and helps to identify and prevent dangerous situations at an early stage. This gas detector is characterised by its ease of installation.

It plugs directly into a socket and requires no complicated wiring, making it both easy and convenient to set up. The white frame made of ABS plastic is not only easy to clean, but also offers an attractive appearance that blends seamlessly into the design of a modern home. If gases are detected that exceed the threshold value of 3% LEL (lower explosion limit), the gas detector alerts you with a loud signal of 100 decibels and a conspicuous flashing light warning that immediately indicates a possible risk. With a power consumption of less than 3 watts, it helps to keep energy consumption low.

In addition to the gas detector, the package also contains everything necessary for safe installation, including screws, screw caps and double-sided adhesive tape, as well as a user manual that provides detailed instructions for installing and using the device. For optimum detection, the placement of the detector should be adjusted depending on the type of gas. Natural gas detectors should be installed approximately 30 cm below the ceiling and 1.5 metres from the gas source radius, as methane gas is lighter than air and rises to the ceiling. In contrast, LPG is heavier than air, so in this case the detector should be installed 30 cm above the floor and also 1.5 metres from the radius of the gas source. It is important to note that the D MODUN gas detector cannot detect toxic gases such as carbon monoxide.
