The D-Link Media Converter DMC-515SC converts a 10/100 Mbit/s twisted-pair Ethernet signal into a 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet single-mode fiber optic signal. The maximum cable length of the fiber optic cable is 15 km, extending a standard Ethernet connection. Wherever different cable media are interconnected, a converter can be quickly and easily deployed. Due to its modular design, multiple different D-Link converters can be installed in a common optional chassis and powered.
