der Router hat sehr hohe Datenraten per WLAN und ist auch gemessen am Preis durchaus gut ausgestattet. Allerdings fehlt ihm die DFS Unterstützung was bedeutet, dass er bei zu vielen Nutzern auf demselben Kanal keine Möglichkeit hat diesen zu umgehen. Deshalb ist die Gesamtnote deutlich schwächer als das nötig wäre wenn der Hersteller hier die Funktion mitgegeben hätte.
Der D-Link DIR-880L erzielt im Test eine sehr gute Performance-Wertung, mit maximal 622 MBit/s im WLAN-ac und konstant hohen Werten unter Praxisbedingungen. Auch die Ausstattung mit DLNA-, FTP- und Drucker-Servern überzeugt. Einzig ein integriertes Modem lässt der WLAN-ac-Router bei dem relativ hohen Preis vermissen.
