The DGS-1100-05PD EasySmart Switch from D-Link is a reliable device from the DGS-1100 series, particularly suitable for small offices, home environments, or medium and large companies with small branches where a single network connection is necessary. Setting up the switch is easy and straightforward with the help of the web interface and the SmartConsole. The PD version has two PoE ports (ports 1 and 2) and a power delivery port (port 5) for power via a PoE switch.

The Surveillance VLAN feature makes the DGS-1100 series perfect for video surveillance applications. This feature assigns video data a higher priority and its own VLAN to ensure the quality of video required for surveillance, eliminating additional expenses for separate hardware. Bandwidth management also allows bandwidth to be reserved on each port for key features that require more bandwidth or higher priority.

D-Link's Green Technology gives the fanless switch its highly energy-efficient operation, automatically adjusting power consumption to match the actual cable length of the connected devices and reducing it when a connected device is inactive. This not only protects the environment but also saves costs.

The entire DGS-1100 series is equipped with features such as loopback detection and cable diagnostics, allowing errors in operation to be detected and resolved immediately. Affected connections are automatically deactivated by the device.

For network security, the DGS-1100-05 has static MAC addresses, storm filtering, and IGMP snooping, which allows network access only for shared MAC addresses, helping to save bandwidth. Storm filtering monitors broadcast, multicast, and unknown unicast traffic, blocking or discarding packets that could overload the network.
