The DGS-1100-05PD EasySmart Switch from D-Link is a reliable device from the DGS-1100 series, particularly suitable for small offices, home environments, or medium to large companies with small branches where a single network connection is required. Setting up the switch is simple and straightforward using the web interface and SmartConsole. The PD version features two PoE ports (Ports 1 and 2) and a Power Delivery port (Port 5) for power supply via a PoE switch.

The Surveillance VLAN function makes the DGS-1100 series perfect for video surveillance applications. This feature assigns a higher priority and a dedicated VLAN to video data to ensure the video quality required for monitoring and to avoid additional costs for separate hardware. Bandwidth management also allows reserving bandwidth on each port for critical functions that require more bandwidth or higher priority.

D-Link's Green Technology provides the fanless switch with highly energy-efficient operation by automatically adjusting and reducing power consumption based on the actual cable length of connected devices and when a connected device is inactive. This not only conserves the environment but also saves costs.

The entire DGS-1100 series is equipped with features such as loopback detection and cable diagnostics, enabling immediate identification and resolution of operational issues. Affected connections are automatically disabled by the device.

For network security, the DGS-1100-05 includes static MAC addresses, storm filtering, and IGMP snooping, which allow network access only for shared MAC addresses, thus contributing to bandwidth savings. Storm filtering monitors broadcast, multicast, and unknown unicast traffic, blocking or discarding packets that could overload the network.
