D-Link DES-1016D: 16Port Switch, 100Mbps

The D-Link unmanaged Ethernet/Fast Ethernet Switch DES-1016D enhances network performance and offers users a high degree of flexibility. With its 16 autosensing 10/100 Mbps RJ-45 ports, the switch detects the speed of connected devices and automatically switches between 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps. It also independently recognizes whether half-duplex or full-duplex mode is possible and adjusts accordingly. For easy network expansion, users have access to two MDI uplink ports, allowing for the cascading of the DES-1016D with two additional switches. Up to 4 ports can be combined via the port trunking feature to create a high-speed connection of up to 800 Mbps in full duplex mode (switch-to-switch or switch-to-server). This enables transmission speeds close to the Gigabit Ethernet range, providing a cost-effective high-speed solution for local backbone networks. The switch automatically recognizes the configuration of the existing network and offers plug-and-play connections for workgroups with mixed bandwidths.
