Also, wash new clothing before applying the transfer, as they are often treated with chemicals to make the colors appear more vibrant. These chemicals should be removed before processing. Now, preheat the area where the design will be ironed on with your iron for five to ten seconds. Make sure to turn off the steam function if you are using a steam iron.
