- Insert a Contour sensor with the grey electrode side as far as it will go into your Contour meter. The meter performs a short self-test and then prompts you to take a measurement with a symbol (sensor and flashing drop of blood). - Swirl the vial with the Contour control solution carefully before opening it to ensure that the control solution is well mixed. - Open the vial of Contour Control Solution and squeeze a small drop onto a non-absorbent surface. The colour of the control solution can be easily washed off without leaving any residue. - Hold the measuring opening of the sensor to the drop of Contour control solution. The control solution is automatically drawn into the Contour Sensor. The 5-second measuring time begins with the acoustic signal. - The measurement result is displayed. - Compare the measurement result with the target range on the side of the Contour sensor can under the expiry date. - Use a new drop of control solution for each measurement.
