Contour Next Control Solution High (2.5 ml)

Contour Next control solutions are aqueous glucose solutions intended for quality control by medical professionals. Additionally, people with diabetes can verify the measurement accuracy of the Contour Next, Contour Next Link, and Contour Next sensors.

When should you perform a measurement with the control solution?

• When the meter is new to you and you want to practice the measurement procedure.
• For regular checks of the entire measurement system and your measurement technique.
• Whenever you deem a check necessary.

Application

• Insert a Contour sensor with the gray electrode side fully into your Contour meter. The meter will perform a brief self-test and then prompt you with a symbol (sensor and blinking drop of blood) to perform a measurement.
• Gently shake the bottle of Contour control solution before opening to ensure the control solution is well mixed.
• Open the bottle of Contour control solution and place a small drop on a non-absorbent surface. The color of the control solution can be easily washed off without leaving residues.
• Bring the measurement opening of the sensor to the drop of the Contour control solution. The control solution will be automatically drawn into the Contour sensor. A signal tone will indicate that the 5-second measurement time has begun.
• The measurement result will be displayed.
• Compare the measurement result with the target range, which is printed on the side of the Contour sensor box under the expiration date.
• Use a new drop of control solution for each measurement.
