Product details

Sewing paper, roll in 48x100 cm format. The sewing paper made from wood pulp and rubber polymer is a hard-wearing, nature-friendly material that combines the properties of fabric with the look of leather. Flexible yet robust, it is easy to use to make carrier bags, belts, wallets, booklet covers, labels and other trendy accessories. It can be washed, ironed, sewn, embroidered, coloured, punched, folded and braided. One roll of 50x100 cm sewing paper, FSC-certified. Thickness of the paper: 0.55 mm.

Wash paper before use (max. 40 °C hand wash or washing machine); this makes it softer, easier to work with and gives it a leather-like texture. Customised design options: Once washed, the paper can be personalised according to your own ideas. Sew by hand or with a sewing machine (a stitch size of 3-3.5 mm is recommended). Glueing (craft glue, hot glue or wood glue). Painting, colouring, darning (textile dyes/inks). Embossing/punching. Tip: The crumpled appearance of the paper is intensified after the processed part has dried. This characteristic can be minimised by ironing the processed part at a very high temperature or with steam. Iron the metallic colours inside out.
