The QSFP28 module offers a 100GBase-LR4 throughput of up to 10 km over a standard pair of single-mode fibers (SMF) with duplex LC connectors. This transceiver is compliant with the standards IEEE 802.3ba 100GBASE-LR4, IEEE 802.3bm, SFF-8665, and SFF-8636. Digital diagnostic functions are also available via the I2C interface, as specified by the QSFP28 MSA, to enable access to real-time operating parameters. With these features, this easy-to-install, hot-swappable transceiver is suitable for use in various applications such as 100G telecommunications links, data centers, high-performance computing networks, core and distribution layers of enterprises, campus networks, and more.
