User-friendly installation. Maximum distance: 100 m. This easy-to-install mini-GBIC module (SFP module) provides a simple way to add Gigabit functionality to Linksys switches. Gigabit fiber cables are commonly used to connect two switches. The technology used depends on the distance between the switches. The LH module uses light with a wavelength of 1310 nanometers in multimode or single-mode fiber optic cables. Distances of between 500 m and 40 km can be achieved (depending on the fibers used): 62.5/125 nm MMF at 200 MHz/km, up to 500 m; 50/125 nm MMF at 500 MHz/km, up to 2,000 m; 9/125 nm SMF, up to 40 km. Additional options are available with the 1000Base-T (MGBT1) and SX (MGBSX1) modules. Key features: Connectivity, RJ-45 interface. Technical details: Wiring technology 1000Base-T, maximum operating distance 100 m, wavelength 1310 nm.
