Cisco 880 and 860 ISR Series: The fixed-configuration router series integrates access points with Lightweight Protocol for the first time, supporting Cisco Unified Wireless LAN and IEEE 802.11n wireless LAN technology. Specific models of the 880 series support integrated 3G wireless WAN connections. This addresses the increased demand for wireless WAN connectivity for both primary and backup connections. Additionally, devices in the new ISR series are capable of implementing specific managed services such as Managed Voice and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) trunking. The ISR routers are used for connecting small branch offices and home workplaces.
