The Mi-26 helicopter is the heaviest helicopter currently in service. With its introduction in the early 1970s, the army gained the perfect transport vehicle for the rapid deployment of troops. The Mi-26 was used by the Russian Air Force during the First and Second Chechen Wars. A total of 276 of these helicopters were produced. The Mi-26 has also been utilized by the air forces of the CIS countries, India, Malaysia, Peru, and South Korea, and is used as a civilian helicopter in various countries.
The Mi-26 is the largest helicopter ever built, measuring 33.7 m in length and with a rotor diameter of 32 m. It can transport up to 90 people. It is primarily designed for military purposes, civil transport, and firefighting. Countries that operate this helicopter include Russia, China, India, Mexico, South Korea, Greece, and Malaysia, as well as the United Nations and others.
Zvezda has invested significant time in development and tooling, resulting in a masterpiece of model building. This kit includes 6 sprues with 238 parts, allowing for the construction of a detailed interior as well as the cockpit. Two pilot figures are included in the set, and the cargo doors can be assembled in either open or closed positions. There are two decal options: Russian Air Force and United Nations.
