Cambium Networks is pleased to introduce its latest solution featuring point-to-point gigabit throughput, based on 802.11 ac Wave 2 and operating in the wireless 5 GHz spectrum. This solution meets the gigabit capacity demands for high-speed backhaul solutions in medium to long-range applications. The PTP 550E solution draws its features from Cambium Networks' point-to-point products such as PTP 650/670 and PTP 450i.

Each PTP 550E device is housed in a robust metal enclosure rated IP66/67, protecting it from extreme conditions and sunlight exposure. The "e-alignment" GUI provides users with an accurate and reliable way to install the PTP 550E. Each channel can have an independent channel bandwidth, offering flexibility in channel selection, bandwidth selection, and throughput requirements. When using two 80 MHz channels, the PTP 550E achieves 1.4 Gbps.

With dynamic channel selection, PTP 550E systems continuously optimize the operating channel to maximize connection reliability and performance. In response to the environment with radio interference, the PTP 550E seeks the clearest spectrum and seamlessly switches to it. Customers benefit from the best available throughput in limited spectrum in the most challenging environments.
