The IP67 weather-resistant outdoor access point (AP) supports a maximum of 512 simultaneous client associations, 16 SSIDs, WPA-2 encryption, meshing, dynamic VLANs, DFS channels, access control lists (ACLs), zero-touch provisioning, and more. The 802.11ac Wave 2 powered e700 is ideal for demanding, high-density outdoor Wi-Fi networks.

Standard-based beamforming at 5 GHz via a 4x4 Tx/Rx antenna array directs beams to the target client device, providing excellent performance in both downlink and uplink directions even in highly disruptive RF environments. Controllerless enterprise-level roaming, dynamic channel selection, automatic transmit power control, and other features of the cnPilot platform ensure a high-quality, superior Wi-Fi network.

Building multi-hop mesh networks is quick and allows for reserving either one radio (e.g., 5 GHz) for mesh backhaul or using both bands for simultaneous client and mesh access.

Cambium's wireless backhaul solution enables rapid deployment of Wi-Fi networks and is powered through the Aux PoE output of the e700, eliminating the need for a second power line. The Aux PoE output can also power an 802.3af camera if security monitoring near the hotspot is required.

Dual on-board active/standby memory banks ensure higher availability. The e700 can store two versions of software and revert to a functioning operating software when needed, reducing the likelihood of site visits and increasing network availability.
