Product details
Failures in telecommunication networks are often difficult to predict, leaving little time to react once they are noticed. With the beroNet FailOver Switch, beroNet has developed an efficient solution that reliably supports you in such situations.
All trunk lines are routed to a backup line. The beroNet Failover Switch is designed specifically for such scenarios. It provides a reliable solution for telecommunication system clustering as well as failover scenarios where a physical switch between analog, BRI, or PRI lines is necessary.
The beroNet Failover Switch can operate in two scenarios – Failover mode or Bypass mode.
Failover Scenario
The Failover scenario ensures the smooth and reliable operation of two telecommunication systems side by side, where the second system is activated only upon the failure of the first, minimizing downtime. This scenario is not only interesting for failover cases but also for maintenance work or upgrades on telecommunication systems.
Bypass Scenario
In the Bypass scenario, you have the option to connect a new telecommunication system (e.g., an Asterisk server) between the trunk ports and the existing telecommunication system. In the event of a failover, the trunk ports are then transparently switched to the existing system, allowing your old telecommunication system to be directly connected to the trunk ports again.
