The 2022 model was named F1-75 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the production of the first Ferrari vehicle, the 125 S. The car was unveiled on February 17 and the inaugural drive took place the following day at the Fiorano racetrack. The car was developed in accordance with the new technical regulations of Formula 1 that came into effect in 2022. The new regulations led to numerous changes, such as an increase in ground effect, the use of 18-inch wheels, and significant modifications to aerodynamic elements.

Compared to its predecessor, the car underwent visual modifications, including the addition of black accents in the paintwork. New sponsors such as Santander, Ceva, and Snapdragon were also introduced.
