Product details
The AXIS P7216 Video Encoder is a cost-effective 16-channel video encoder that offers top-notch video performance and excellent audio quality. It facilitates the migration to network video without the need to upgrade existing camera systems.
Strong performance, many features
The AXIS M7216 enables edge storage through four microSDHC card slots. The video encoder supports all types of analog cameras, including PTZ and PTZ dome cameras for pan, tilt, and zoom functions. Analog PTZ cameras can be controlled via its RS-422 and RS-485 connections. The configurable I/O ports can be connected to external relays and sensors to control lighting, unlock and lock doors, and more. Additionally, an SFP port provides network redundancy.
The easy way to a smarter CCTV system
The AXIS P7216 is ideal for larger analog video installations, especially when an IP network infrastructure is already in place. For simplified installation, power is supplied over Ethernet using the same cable that is used for data transmission. A power supply is also included in the package.
Reduced bandwidth and storage requirements
The AXIS P7216 supports two simultaneous video streams, one in H.264 and the other in Motion JPEG, with full frame rate at resolutions up to D1 (720 x 480 in NTSC, 720 x 576 in PAL). Thanks to H.264 video compression, bandwidth and storage requirements can be significantly reduced without compromising image quality. The support for Motion JPEG ensures greater flexibility.
