The Asus 4G-AC68U supports LTE Cat 6, the latest mobile broadband internet that combines two mobile frequencies to achieve download speeds of up to 300 Mbps, which is 2X faster than LTE Cat 4 and 7X faster than 3G (HSPA+). This allows you to easily share even the largest files and stream 4K-UHD videos with ease. With the super-fast 1,900 Mbps 802.11ac WLAN, wireless speeds are achieved that are up to three times higher than the 802.11n standard.

Asus AiRadar intelligently amplifies the WLAN connection using beamforming technology, high-performance signal amplification, and exclusive Asus RF fine-tuning. This extends the range, increases dynamic data transfer speeds, and improves stability.

The Asus 4G-AC68U's integrated Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) is included in AiProtection and provides multiple protections for all connected devices on the network. The system blocks all common attacks from the internet. The automatic, regular updates of AiProtection are time-critical and ensure that you always have the latest protection.

The external antennas for mobile broadband internet offer higher performance than internal antennas. In the house, the place with the best 4G LTE reception is usually near a window. If it is not possible to place the router there, the detachable antennas can easily be placed at the desired location using an extension cable thanks to their standardized SMA connections.

In addition to the 4G LTE functionality, the 4G-AC68U has a dedicated Gigabit WAN interface that can be activated as a wired backup internet connection if the 4G LTE connection fails (failover) and automatically switches back as soon as it is available again (fallback). This means outstanding flexibility for use at home or in the office—never again without an internet connection.
