The AMS 5516 ECOswitch from Astro is a cascadeable multiswitch specifically designed for the AMS 5 Ecoswitch system. This device allows for the expansion of satellite reception systems and offers a flexible solution for distributing satellite signals. With five inputs for a satellite position and a passive terrestrial input, the multiswitch can serve up to 16 subscriber connections. This makes it ideal for applications where multiple devices need to be connected to a single satellite reception system. The AMS 5516 ECOswitch does not require an external power source and operates with a control signal of 14/18 V, DiSEqC, and 0/22 kHz.
