With his highly detailed plant photographs, sculptor Karl Blossfeldt (1865–1932) inadvertently became a co-founder of modern German photography; originally, he created them solely as reference material for students and his own artistic work. To this day, the sharply focused close-ups of plant parts such as leaves, buds, tendrils, and seed pods captivate with their cool, almost sterile clarity. This postcard set contains 18 selected motifs.
