The headset can be used as a standard PTT headset or as a VOX headset. However, for VOX operation, the VOX function on the Alinco radio must be activated. The PTT button has a distinctly noticeable pressure point. The earpiece is comfortable to wear, and the rubber cover on the earpiece is replaceable.
