It detects and signals any attempt to penetrate the object using tools or explosives. This detector recognizes short-term vibrations with high amplitude. It features a programmable event counter that ensures the detector activates an alarm once the predetermined number of events (1, 2, 3, or 4) has occurred. However, the detection of an explosion activates an alarm regardless of the number of counted events. The CD 550 can be mounted on rubber bands that consist of multiple elements (e.g., window or door frames), as well as on brick walls that can be worked on with a bone instrument. For mounting on concrete or cement surfaces, use the special MP 550 mounting plate. The CD 550 is based on an advanced microcontroller with a signal processing algorithm that allows for digital processing of recorded events, resulting in operational reliability and immunity to environmental disturbances. The desired sensitivity of the CD 550 is selected via a dipswitch. The effective setting can be verified with the CT 400, which simulates real attack vibrations. The strength it uses always remains at the same level.
