The industrial mobile router ICR-2441 has been designed for wireless communication to enable the connection of IP or serial devices to a mobile network. Industrial M2M and IoT applications include kiosks, industrial PCs, HMIs, traffic controls, meters, UPS systems, and much more. The peak downlink data rate for LTE Cat. 4 is approximately 150 Mbps. LTE Cat. 4 also offers a peak uplink data rate of 50 Mbps. The router is equipped with two independently configurable Ethernet ports (LAN or WAN), one RS232 serial port, one RS485 port, and digital I/O connectivity (1x DI, 1x DO). The router supports the establishment of VPN tunnels with various protocols to ensure secure communication. It offers diagnostic features that include automatic monitoring of wireless and wired connections, automatic restart in case of connection losses, and a hardware watchdog to monitor the router's status. The router is based on the ICR-OS operating system. The open Linux platform allows for a wide range of possibilities for programming customer software applications in Python, C/C++. The router supports the uploading of RouterApps that would extend the standard firmware functionalities. The existing app library, which can be downloaded for free by customers, already contains developed software apps to enhance specific router functions, including conversion of industrial protocols, support for IoT platforms such as MS Azure, Cumulocity, ThingWorx, and much more.
