The Proximity chip sticker serves as an optional accessory for the Terxon alarm system and the Smart Vest for contactless arming/disarming of the alarm control panel via the control panel. The chip sticker is simply attached to the control panel. The sticker should be affixed to a suitable object provided daily by the user. No PIN code is required to identify the user. It is sufficient to verify the object as an authorised user with the chip sticker attached to the terxon control panel. The chip sticker is taught-in at the operating unit, where the user authorization is also programmed. The sticker is powered by the receiver's radio field, so batteries are not required. Degradation of the chip stickers should be avoided if they are not affixed to metallically shielded objects and if they are exposed to moisture and temperatures in excess of 50°C. The sticker must not be kinked or located near magnetic fields.
